I bought a new ingredient today and thought I give it a try in an energy bar. I like to take these bars with me when I go on a bike ride.


1 cup almond butter (raw creamy)
1/2 cup maple syrup
1 T sunflower seeds
1 T flax seeds
1 T flax seed meal
3 cups quinoa puffs
1/2 cup chopped figs

Warm the almond butter and syrup together in a pan. Remove from heat.
Add the ingredients one by one until fully covered. Place into prepared 8×8 dish.
Chill. Cut into slices. Wrap in parchment or wax paper. I store mine in the freezer until I’m heading out on a bike ride. Also removes temptation 🙂
